Amy Stummer (b. New Jersey) is a contemporary American artist based in Western New York, known for her classical approach to landscape painting.

Working frequently en plein air, Stummer engages directly with the natural environment, producing works that are grounded in close observation and a sensitivity to light, atmosphere, and shifting conditions. Her paintings function as temporal records, capturing specific moments within the landscape and preserving a glimpse of their fleeting nature.

Through this practice, Stummer situates her work within a longstanding tradition of landscape painting, while offering a contemporary perspective that emphasizes immediacy, presence, and the passage of time.
